What is wrong with my Ford Ka?

I was driving over a speed bump and heard a very loud bang/clatter at the offside rear of my car. The car is still drivable, because I drove it the short distance home. However, it is now lower at the offside rear. What is wrong, and will it cost a fortune to fix. Also is it safe to drive a few miles to a garage? Thanks

Sounds like you crack your suspesion. Not too sure on the price but no you should'nt drive it and if the suspensions is the problem the police will stop you.

Yeah it may have something to do with the suspension. Also because the Ka is quite small when going over speed bumps at a fast speed and can make quite a loud clattery noise at the rear of the car. It should be fine to drive to the garage. But just to be safe i'd suggest getting it checked out properly.
