I own a 2002 Chevrolet Malibu LS (3.1 L V6 Engine), and when I first bought it back in September, everything was great with the car. About a month ago, in the middle of October, I was on my way to work, and the engine started getting really loud. Further examination told me that it was most likely an exhaust issue. I had the pipe from the Catalytic Converter back to the muffler replaced, because there were multiple rust holes in the pipe. Ever since the car was fixed, though, the engine still just doesn't seem quite right. It doesn't accelerate quietly like it used to, it seems like the RPMs go too high, although the car does not red- line, and the car just doesn't seem like it runs like it did when I first bought it. Now, a few days ago, the car wouldn't start. It would turn over, but it woudln't fire. Are these issues possibly related? What is wrong with my car? Please help!
