I have these headphones (Sony DR-BT101) that I am using with the IO Gear GBU421 Bluetooth dongle connected to my PC. my question is why the frequencies above 5khz sound a bit .... "static-y"? it's not noticeable I suppose, but while listening to music (most noticeable in EDM), one could definitely tell there is an issue.
if I use these headphones with my iPod Touch (3rd gen), I don't experience this issue.
the frequency range for these headphones were listed on Sony's site as going up to 4khz with a Frequency Response of 24khz (or around there). could this be the issue? or is it a problem with the dongle itself? or maybe there's a magical button I haven't pressed yet...
it's not a distance issue as the dongle itself is well within 1 metre of distance. I have a USB hub so I figure that might be the problem so I connect the Bluetooth device to the computer itself. did not fix my problem. so right now I am lost as to how to fix this.
I have consulted with a friend who has the Plantronics 903 Backbeats and the same dongle I have and says he doesn't have this problem. so maybe it -is- a Frequency issue? but that brings me back to wondering WHY it works so well with the iPod Touch....
