I just bought a dongle and installed the drivers. However when I tried to start them I received a message "Bluetooth device not found. Please verify your Bluetooth device is properly connected and turned on."
So I took out my dongle, and shoved it back in. There was a new message: " One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it."My PC has Windows 7, and i have tried 4 different drivers off the net.
Is my dongle broken? How would I get it working?
It doesn't even get to the stage of asking for a password. My PC doesn't recognize the dongle.
Nothing is wrong with my PC though; as it is only a couple of months old.
There is no branding on the packaging. It only says "Bluetooth USB Dongle".
It says its "Bluetooth specification V2.0 Compliant".
The software that came with it is soleil.
