What is wrong with my 1993 Dodge Intrepid?

My Intrepid has 2 major problems.

1. my steering wheel is very loose feeling and i have to hold it sideways to go straight.

2. When I try to accelerate, my rpm meter goes up as if my car should speed up, but my car just idles for a while like its going to break down and the engine revs, and then kicks in very late. Also a noise almost like an RC car or treadmill comes out of my engine when driving.
 
1. Power steering pump is probably gone.
2. Your transmission is shot. Go get a new one. Or have the one you have, rebuilt. I had the same problem with one of my cars. Should cost around $3,000, if you have it done properly.
