What is up with Roger Federer lately? he keep's going out in the early stages?

i was not expecting him to loose to at rome against somebody ranked 40th i could see in the secoud and third set his game was way off and serve was the worst i have ever seen from him,

is he looseing his magic ?
will he be able to defend his french and wimbledon titles ? - as a massive federer fan i sure f**** hope so
