There is a very old saying "The throttle works both ways". So good judgment becomes more important than anything else. My '06 999R makes about 150 with pipes and all and I might use that much maybe 3 times a year on the street, but what matters most to me is bottom/midrange torque to slingshot me out of corners. The quality of power not the amount is what cuts it. As Kevin Cameron once said: " the horsepower race is over, now electronics will be what allow us to use what we already have." End of ramble.
