Hi everyone-

I'm not sure if what I have going on is acne, but I have no idea what else it is so I thought I post here to see if anyone can help me.
A couple of months ago I got this zit looking thing on my chin. I popped it like I always do, but it never went away. Now it is a bigger looking blotch, and it is happening in other spots on my face now too. I have 4 blotches of them. It seems to me like it might be some sort of rash, but when they first appear they look exactly like zits, and you can pop them. They are a little itchy, and burn a little when I put rubbing alcohol on them.
This is really bothering me because they are on my face. I have never had issues with acne ever, except for the occassional zit. I am 27 years old, and had a baby in Sept '07. I also started a new birth control a few months ago.
Does anyone have any clue?

I think that your problem can be related to different causes. You know, that some birth control pills are able to trigger some skin problems, including pimples, other invers, can protect skin.. May be it is an allergy to some fooRAB or drugs you take.. I think that you may try some light lotions or gels used to treat acne.. I heard that Curiosin gel is quite effective and is lack of side effects 'cause contain natural substances.. The best clue I presume to go to the doctor and make skin analysis to specify the cause..

Keep in mind that just because you have never had acne it doesn't mean you cannot break out. You got one pimple and now you have made it worse. What you are doing is probably the worst thing you can do. Your using terrible irritable rubbing alcohol on your face and popping your pimples.

Think of it like a rash... what happens when you leave your rash alone? It goes away..

what happens when you scratch your rash? It gets worse and bigger and worse and worse and worse and never will go away till you do the smart thing and just stop scratching the damn thing.

Acne is the same way. If you touch your face and irritate iut and spread it around its gonna break out just like any other infectious contagious thing.

Stop touching your face, leave your skin alone and let it heal or your gonna have some serious problems.

on another note, the birth control almost certainly could have something to do with it. Acne is very hormonal and birth control can throw that all out of wack.
