on my 1996 buick regal, i start the car, engine goes on, about two seconds later there is a grinding/scraping noise for about a second, and then its gone. that is the only time i hear it, any ideas?
AC compressor cycles on and off,open the the hood start it watch and listen the tensioner and idler pulley could also be the problem. Take some spray lube and spray the item you think the noise is at if it stop don't think you fixed it you will need to replace it.
