I was fixing breakfast earlier and when I was making scrambled eggs, I cracked the egg open and when the egg fell into the pan there was something red in the egg white. I grabbed a spoon and scooped it up and took a pic. Here's the picture for reference.

It grossed me out, so needless to say I opted for a bagel instead, but what is this? Any ideas? Ever seen it before? Is it normal and even more importantly, is it safe? Should I throw out the whole carton of eggs? I tried to find a phone number on the carton, but there wasn't one. I've never seen this before so I think it musn't be TOO common because I've fixed quite a few eggs in my lifetime. Help?
