What is this little tube coming off the top of my engine? 95 jeep grand cherokee v6?

I have a 95 jeep grand cherokee. The 4.0 litre v6 engine. on the very far back of the engine there is an L shaped tube coming off of it with another tube leading off somewhere. I just noticed that tube isnt connected to that L shaped pipe. Any idea what that is? I havent seen something like that on any other engine.
 
Without seeing what you are talking about, I would guess it is something to do with your EGR valve, but I can't be sure.
