Just recently (with a few days) this cone shaped thing grew out of the center. This palm has been in the ground for appx. 5years now. I haven't done anything differently other than Miracle Grow and Epsom Salt (for iron). The color is a light beige or eggshell color. What is it and what is the purpose of it? I know I shouldn't remove it because its part of the plant. Any suggestions?
