What is this Blackberry Icon mean?

My blackberry recently was the victim of a snow pile... long story short, it was wet and refused to turn on.

My question is, I just got the front screen to turn on, and it shows a picture of a white battery with a blue lightning bolt shape through it...

Does this mean my battery is shot?
