What is the word for committing a good deed solely out of a desire to go to heaven?

What is the word, in Catholicism, for doing good deeds out of the selfish intention of earning a spot in heaven?
Though "hypocrisy", "fraud" and "pretense" all work, there is a word specific to Catholicism that I'm looking for.
I am not religious in any sense, nor am I looking for religious advice. Some friends and I just can't remember this word.

Someone thought it was "false contrition", and that's a similar idea but isn't directly the word at hand.
