what is the "+/-" value.. Chemistry lab help.?

This is pertaining to a lab that i did with measuring the density of a saline solution. I measured this using a graduated cylinder and a volumetric pipette... i want to know : based on the +/- values on the graduated cylinder (0.1mL) or the volumetric pipette (0.01mL), which SHOULD be "better" at measuring? what is the difference between this and the "accuracy" of these measurements? Any help greatly appreciated!!!
