I know it is used for charging the phone so please don't tell me that, but a regular USB cord doesn't fit and i was wondering if i could like somehow download music on the phone through the usb port. i heard something about a mini usb cord what is that?

If anyone has the answers to my questions, I'd appreciate it if you shared your knowledge with me. thanks sooo much.

there are loads of different USB sockets on phones mainly so that the manufactures can charge you loads, YES! it is so that you can plug it into your computer and add files to it like music or mpg's or photos and even taking data off the phone. you should have been supplied with a USB cable and software for your computer

If it is a usb port it should be the same as on most other cell phones: you can copy files to or from the phone as if it were a disk drive.
