For example: Our legs start at the pelvis, forming the first joint, and then lean forward, and connect to the second joint, which is the knee, and then our legs kind of slightly push backwards and then connect to the third joint, which is the ankle, and then the ankle connects to our foot.
But a deer's rear leg start at the pelvis, then goes forward to connect to the knee, then bends backwards slightly, and then connects to a joint I am not familiar with, and then bends forward and connects to the ankle, which connects to the hoof. I think horses and canines have this similarity of the rear leg, but I could be mistaken. If anyone knows the name/technical term for this type of rear leg or anything please feel free to answer. Sorry for the giant wall of text, but I couldn't have explained it any simpiler. Thank you in advance.
