The body is a machine designed to carry out specific tasks. The hands grip. The legs walk. The eyes see. The ears hear. The brain is the controlling system of the body. It carries out tasks such as activating muscles and causing secretion of chemicals such as hormones. The brain extracts biologically relevant information from sensory inputs. Sensory processes go well beyond the classical five senses of sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell: our brains are provided with information about temperature, balance, limb position, and the chemical composition of the bloodstream, among other things.Understanding the relationship between the physical brain, and the functional mind is a challenging problem both philosophically and scientifically. The most straightforward scientific evidence that there is a strong relationship between the physical brain matter and the mind is the impact physical alterations to the brain, such as injury and drug use, have on the mind.In other words, the mind can be affected by brain injury etc. The kindest person can become a raging lunatic when effect by brain disease, injury or drugs. I personally have seen men act like wild dogs when affected by brain disease. The personality of a man is also affected by hereditary factors, social conditioning, social standing, born intelligence, education, habits, and when he was born. When the body dies, the brain dies with it, so the neurons that make the personality of the man turn to dust. The question is; where is the true essence of the soul? What survives after death? Can a man be judged by the physical factors that make up a man, including the brain? Can the man who suffers the brain injury and becomes a psychopath be judged for his faults? Where is the true essence of a man that extends beyond the physical components of a man that turns to dust?

The soul is basically that which animates the body. We really don't know that much about it.

Ultimately we are ENERGY, under a certain form but not limited by that form, vibrating in different levels and echoing through all the systems that are part of us and in the ones we are a part of. And energy doesn't disappear, it transforms. The essence is conscience, awareness that we are all a breath of life and inseparable from that life. Being with or without form.

Soul is the life which drives the body. It is the essence of human body. When it leves body, body falls dead.It can ony be expeienced and cannot be truely explained.

My philosophy is that the soul is our personality at its best but our spirit is the same as everyone else's b/c it is from God.--opinion
