What is the topic of Penn State University Park's personal statement?

My application says that it's "Please use this space to tell us about your preparations for college and include a brief statement of your plans for the academic field of study you wish to pursue. If applicable, explain any interruptions in your schooling, for example military service or employment."

but the penn state website says it's, "Please choose one of your activities or another experience you would like to share and provide a short description of its importance to you. Include why that commitment could be relevant to your student experience at Penn State."

which one is the correct topic?
 
Whichever document you're turning in, that's the one you answer.

If you're turning in the application in your hand, you answer that one.

Don't confuse people by putting an answer to a question that they can't see.

Answer the question you were given. Stop thinking so much.
