I remember a few key parts of this book but I would love to remember and possibly reread the story again.
The story is based around time travel. A young woman boards a ship with her father and crew on a test flight in space for time travel. Beforehand she bumps into a woman who seems to know her and a man by a pond(?) studying frogs. The two seem to click and he tells her to send him a message in some odd way so they would be able to communicate through time and space. Something goes wrong during the mission and they are captured by a future race of aliens, lead by a ruthless queen, who kill the girl's father and everyone on board. She escapes back to the time ship with the help of an alien man. As she travels through time she witnesses the Big Bang during morning coffee. She even figures out that it was her who created the aliens in the first place, the queen being part of her DNA and the alien man a part of the 'frog guy's' DNA, like reincarnation. Time replays itself and the Earth is recreated again and during the time when life first starts, she visits the planet and finds a ghost(?) of the 'frog man' who explains what's happened. She then decides to try to make sure the time loop never happens by continuing the time travel to the 'day before' her 'past' (although it's really the future) self boards the ship. She is really the woman that she had bumped into and realizes that she can't change destiny and time and ends up killing herself with the gun she planned on using on her 'past' self.
Okay, make sense? Anyone know of this story?
