I read a novel about six or seven years ago that was based on Goethe's Faust. I'm sure it was contemporary, definitely not the original play, but based in the same time frame as the original story. I cannot for the life of me find the book anywhere online. Here's what I remember from it, any help would be appreciated;
-The title had the word Faust in it, but also something else.
-As far as I remember it was written as a dark comedy almost.
-It was quite graphic including a scene with seven ladies doing unlady-like things to Wagner in a church, at least I think it was Wagner.
-POSSIBLY could have been Jack Faust, but I'm unsure as I can't find any excerpts from it online.
