what to you mean for due process??? like once your charged with a crime, how long does it take them to try you?? that would be as long as they want unless you specifically request to exercise your right to a fast and speedy trial... then they must have the trial within 75 days for a misdemeanor or 90 days for a felony... but you only have that right if your in jail awaiting trial..... Then there are statutes of limitations... which is how long after a crime is committed can they still charge you... that varies state to state... a lotta of crimes they have 7 years... murder there is no limit.
