What is the structure of a business?

I run a site, we are not fully a corporation yet but we are trying to act like one.

I would like to know the structure of a business.

Baisilcly things like this:

Excutive
--R&D
--Public relations
--Marketing
-- Administration

and then separate departments under each thing.

If I need to explain this more, please tell me.
