what is the stock firmware for the iphone 3gs?

i bought an iphone 3gs with 4.3.5 installed on it from a friend. after i tried to jailbreak it and it got stuck in recovery. i restored it, and it wont activate due to my t-mobile sim card. and now when i plug it in on itunes, it says there is no sim card, or the sim card you have inserted is invalid and you can not activate. what firmware is it on? i reset it to factory defaults, so... and its a white 3gs 16gb and technicly its the "new" version according to redsn0w. please help! i need to know because i need to jailbreak and unlock
