contract in default? I lost my job in April 2003 due to a disability and I defaulted on my auto loan. I explained this to the loan company and they let it go, but now a debt buying collection agency is sending me bills. So, I want to know if they can still sue me in either Small Claims or Civil Court. It's been over 7 years.
