What is the statute of limitations for Real estate transactions in Texas?

misslabeled

I purchase my house in Texas in 2008, among the selling points was that it had the roof replaced the previous year. My home insurer told me that if I could provide proof of that replacement I qualify for a significant reduction in my premium. There wasn't anything in the documents about who did the work, so I emailed the listing agent. She never got back to me, so next I called the city because roofing requires a permit. They had no permit on file for any roof work.

Now I'm wondering if the roof was actually replaced. If it was, was it replaced by a licensed roofer. I can't seem to get any answers. At best, not having proof of the working is costing me money in my premiums every year. At worst, I was defrauded on the roof claim and/or have a substandard roof.

Can anyone tell me was Texas law says, and please state your credentials in supplying the information.
