I am looking to go into the career of journalism; sports journalism to be more specific. Not with newspapers though because so many newspapers are in trouble right now with the economy. I am looking to work for a magazine with either ESPN or Sports Illustrated. I currently write for my high schools newspaper as a sports journalist and next year (for my junior year) I was picked to get my own sports column "Player of the Month." Then for my senior year I will apply to be "Sports Editor." Also this coming fall I have an internship with ESPN during football season. So I was just wondering if I would have a shot for a career in sports journalism; mainly anywhere; I would just really like to work with either ESPN or Sports Illustrated.
