i remember hearing one time that you should avoid using commas in sentences when there are few words before the comma
So for example if you want to say the sentence below, you don't put a comma after the word "way" even though there is a pause:
In a way one could argue that the author is trying to be over-dramatic on purpose.
so is this rule a REAL rule or no?
