What is the recipe for the Japanese hot sauce they have at Teppanyaki restaurants?

It is actually a red paste with some texture to it. You usually have to ask for it.
I've looked at the answers here already, and none of them are the correct recipe. This is not Chinese chili sauce or sriracha.
