What is the realistic jail time for 2 ounces of Cocaine in california?

My brother and cousin got set up by a "friend",,, as soon as they dropped him off they got pulled over by narcs who found 2oz of cocaine in the back seat. they've been in jail for 2 1/2 months but they just keep on getting future court dates.they got charged for possesion, transprtation, and intent to sell, they are both 19 yrs old and have no prior record. why did i hear that a guy got caught with one kg but was just sent to mexico 3 days later??? thats so unfair
Of course he knows where it came from,,,, he's friend!!! my brother and I can't be any closer, he's like my kid I KNOW he doesn't mess with that,,, and if you got any thing helpful to say then dont say it!!!!

You idiots are clueless. Every single person who gets caught uses this excuse.
 
Time served with probation. They will most likely been in jail for 6 months, and have to attend drug court. They really need to stay sober for the next half a dozen years of probation.
 
There is no punishment in the US cort system of banishment to other countries for US citizens. But your friends are in real trouble, the Supreme Cout said that possession, tafficking and intent to sell has the possibility of up to 5 years for just the posession, up to 10 on intent to sell, but what judges often do is give things called consecutive sentences, which means that if they get two senences of 3 and 4 years, they can serve both at the first time so that they are really only in jail for 4 years. Punishments for intent to sell cocaine are not light my friend, and it all really depends on the judge.
