What is the Raleigh Airlite 100 (2008) Bicycle like? Is it worth getting?

I have been looking at road bikes to get started in training and eventually competing, I have been interested in the Raleigh Airlite 100 and the Claud Butler Echelon what would any cyclists out there recommend? Thanks for your help.
