What is the purpose of a relationship at 18 without sex?

the main purpose of any TEEN relationship is to learn how to deal with the opposite sex so that when you mature, you'll have an easier time choosing a Long Term partner...hopefully for life.
 
Companionship. Wanting to be intimate with a person mentally before you become physical. There are plenty of reasons to be involved in a relationship besides sex. Just having someone to confide in and talk to and kiss and hug and love is enough for some people. Sex is just an added bonus that will happen whenever they are ready.
