The car has a 2.2L 4 cylinder engine. It does not have ABS. I felt the car losing power and after arriving at my destination I inspected the car only to find the beginnings of a fire in the brakes. I replaced the Calipers thinking a lock up in the calipers was the problem. The problem persisted with the brakes locking up and almost producing a fire. Before changing the brake booster or master cylinder I am asking this question. Any ideas on what to try or what is potentially the reason for this problem would be greatly appreciated.
