What is this election "about?" Is it the economy? Is it the Iraq war? Terrorism? Gay marriage? Abortion? Is it about restoring integrity to the White House?

If you had to pick THE main issue driving the election, what would it be?

It's the economy. All other issues, other than gay marriage, tie into the economy.

Ending the war in Iraq would stop the hemorrhaging of money to fight what I consider an illegal action and let the money be spent here to revitalize our economy. Fixing the economy would add to our prestige because it would prove that we can solve our own problems and it would bring integrity back to the White House.

Then again, gay marriage would help the economy because they would probably opt for the splashy, showy event.

It really is the economy, stupid.

People feel unsafe with the terrorism going on and the person responsible not caught.
High prices food ,taxes ,gasoline..Ripoffs from financial institutions.Foreign businesses, running our country.
Jobs and aide going to other countries, when we are hurting.
We need to get back America and start taking care of our own.

If I had to pick the main issue, it would be the business failure bailout that Obama, McCain, and Biden all voted for.

If Y!A got to choose, it would be birth certificates or Tina Fey.

"Restoring integrity to the White House", lol, that's a good one. If that were an issue, we wouldn't have lawyers and career politicians nominated.

*ONE Issue?
Whew!
*Economic Justice!

But .......
I am NOT a 1 Issue Voter!

So I'd say the main driving point is:

Trying To UNDO~
7 + PAINFUL YEARS of GOP FAILURES
in the Oval Office!

Well there are many factors, but I think it is indirectly with the economy.

It has to do with people feeling safe and the affordability factor. The American dream is to succeed, but I think Obama's attitude of taxing anyone over 250,000 is almost greedy. I would like to make that one day but would I because he would tax me more..

That doesn't make me feel safe. What makes me feel safe is getting a return on taxes I paid into like Bush has done and McCain wants to continue doing.

I understand there are people complaining about that, but if you don't pay taxes you shouldn't get a tax return. Yet most get a child tax credit. If you want a tax return then you have to work and pay taxes.

So I think it is more class warfare that is in question on how this economy works. There the economy drives decisions in this country and we have to be more conservative with our money because we don't have that money to give right now.

Vote McCain.. you will see your retirement.

I think its about all of them,
and getting foreign countries to trust the US the way they used to

WILL AMERICA SURVIVE?
If we re-elect a Republican, we re-elect the Republican party platform, since they gave John 100 million dollars, and how do you break from that?
So a vote for MC Cain is a vote for the past, and if we elect Obama, who also received money from the Democrats, who want to help the people, we vote for America's future. Easy decision. .
