Does anyone in Australia know the percentage of your rent you can claim at tax time, if you operate a business from home. I heard it was 20%. Can anyone verify this?
I don't know Australian tax laws; however, in the US it is a % of your floor space. If you have a 1000 square foot house and use 100 square feet for an office, you can deduct 10% of your rent, insurance, taxes, utilities, etc. I suspect it is the same in your country.
