I was raised Catholic and have been involved as an organist in a Lutheran church many years. I left Christianity in my early 20s but have never become atheist. The reading I've done that seems the closest to my belief is by Thomas Paine, who is deist.
So I'm looking to explore a little further this idea that we have a place in the universe and there's a grand scheme and a creator, and that we have importance and we develop our talents and relationships in this world for a reason. Does this sound close to any existing spiritual belief, and what would it be?
