It was based on trekking through a city that was overrun by robots of some kind. The only way to fight your way through was to obtain stronger robots by hacking weaker ones and eventually building in difficulty.
If there is anyone that anything knows about the name or the creator please let me know. It was popular on a custom yahoo website about 6 years ago. But when the site went down I never got the name for it.
It was a fun game that involved a puzzle of hacking the robot's terminals in succession of their difficulty before the robot fought back/ or overloaded. I might be mixing a few details up since its been many years since I have played the game but any info would be a great help.

I have googled Hot Street a million ways to sunday and even tried Bot Street. Nothing is coming up. Could you elaborate which site you saw the game on?
