The main character (protagonist) is a blond man with a regal outfit.

The enemies are troll-like talking creatures that ride a oversized flying mushroom. They sit on top of the mushroom. If I remember correctly, the base/stem of the mushroom puffed black smoke.

What's that cartoon called? I don't think it's American or British.
