and LucasArts demos? In the 90s my family was in the process of purchasing a minivan since we were about to become a family of four kids. In the process, we ended up with a CD-ROM I really enjoyed playing with because it was set up in a point and click adventure style (a la Myst). You, the player, started out on a futuristic "island" surrounded by a vast ocean, and in the middle of this island was a large glass tower. Inside the tower were showcased all sorts of Chrysler-Plymouth vehicles.
I remember if you went up the tower you could interact with the Plymouth prowler, which was not even available to buy at the time. The extent of interaction with these cars was simply changing the colors and interiors. If you went down into the basement of the tower I remember they had some minivans. The reason why I was so captivated by this "game" was because the quickest way to get around the tower were these vacuum tubes that you could jump into and would suck you around to different parts of the building, with flashing lights and cool pre-rendered 3D graphics.
The last notable feature I can remember about this CD-ROM was a room that had three demos you could install to your computer. I remember two them being X-Wing vs Tie Fighter (or maybe just Tie Fighter) and Afterlife (a sort of Sim City-esque gamee where you build heaven and hell).
I can't find the disc anymore, and I've been looking around the web forever, I was hoping someone else may have had this by chance as well. Thanks.
