just want to know what other people think are dumb laws in pennsylvania or any other state. Please post the state in the answer if not in pennsylvania.

Thank you, I live in Pennsylvania AND I am in the court system. Which one you want? hahaha....I am not sure what exactly you want here, ridiculous as in stupid or ridiculous as in really bad laws? So, I will pass this one along as it affects many Pennsylvaniaians. It is their expungement law. You can have your case expunged ONLY IF you are found not guilty or the case is dismissed. Im serious. This HAS to be the most ridiculous law in PA as if you are found not guilty or it is dismissed, it should be removed, PERIOD. People are charged with crimes, they go to court and are found not guilty, leave the courtroom thinking they are fine but later on, they apply for a job and their potential employer runs a background check on you, they find the entry of the charge right there in front of them. The entry alone will predjudice possible employers, so this is not right.

Oh, but for a FEE....they can remove it. ergo, the expungement law. You know, there is really nothing to expunge especially if you are found not guilty. Now, if you are found guilty that is a different story.

So to me, this is one of the most ridiculous Pennsylvania law. Want more?
