What is the maximum wight of rims you could fit on a stock 1970 VW beetle

fender? in the rear.? I got a pair of Porches Alloy rims there 15x8. I don't know if there going to fit under the fender. I cant just put them on because i need to do a conversion from 4 lug to 5 lug porches pattern.
 
They should fit, if all else fails, you could trim the lip on the fender a bit, or crank up the torsion bars to get it higher for more clearance also. they also make a lot of aftermarket fenders for wider tires
