I'm going to be buying a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire two door automatic. it has a 2.2 litter engine and is 100% stock i am not sure if it is the Eco-tech or not. i know that makes a big difference and i was wondering what the max rpm i can put it up to without blowing or damaging anything. if you could give me like one for the 2.2 and 2.2 Eco-tech that would be awesome. thanks in advance for all your work.

ya i saw like the torque is at 4000 but when i hit my torque in my Malibu the rpms climb fast i have a tendency to accelerate like a bat out of hell so i was just wondering like max rpm without damage. i appreciate the personal experience with it and i want it to last so i am going to try to keep the rpms low except for when it feels like the car needs a speed test ha ha but really i just wanna know like when it will damage like in the manual it says don't go into the red or you can cause damage but i feel like i can damage the motor before the redlining it is this true?
