What is the max amount of mileage I should consider when buying a car?

I can't find the parts to fix my camaro, so I'm considering buying a used car. But, I only have about 6000 to spend. I've found a Jeep Liberty 2003 one owner with 114,000 miles with a carfax report. What should I do? Even if I don't get that car, my options are limited, and I don't want some Ford Focus with a 2.0 4 cylinder engine. I'd rather get a substantial car with higher miles. Is that a good idea? Would a dealership give me at least 1000 for my camaro if I towed it to them, or do places buy it for parts, it has aluminum wheels and the engine is a 3.8 V6 and it is find, it is only the heater hose assembly that AC Delco isn't making anymore.
