A transparent rod 50 cm long and with a refractive index of 1.6 is cut flat at the right end and rounded to a hemispherical surface with a 15 cm radius at the left end. An object is placed on the axis of the rod, 12 cm to the left of the vertex of the hemispherical end. (a) what is the position of the final image? (b) What is its magnification?
