I'm looking to rent a car soon, and although it's to go to visit family, another need is that it can haul some couches home. More specifically, a couch and loveseat. Free furniture! LOL The trucks available in the better price range are the Chevy Colorado/Dodge Dakota (or similar) and they are the 4 door versions. I don't have the exact measurements of the couch, but it's a standard size, which is 80-100 inches long. Of course, the love seat is shorter. I need to know if these trucks have beds long enough to put them in. I know I can put 1 couch in, then turn the love seat upside down (with the seats of each on top of each other)...so I really just need to deal with the length. It's a little over $100 more to rent a full size pick-up like a Chevy Silverado, so I would like to avoid that. Oh, and I've already check U-haul (and other companies like them) and to rent a truck from them for the way back, plus rent a reg. car on the way there is MUCH MUCH more than just renting a reg. truck for an entire week. So, any idea how long the beds of these trucks are??? Thanks!
