What is the law on developers finishing my road?
When i bought my house 2 yrs ago i was assured by the solicitors that the owner of the land which was sold for development purposes plot by plot was liable to finish the road upon completion of the final house. £2000 was kept aside by the solicitors from each house which was going to be handed over to the land owner when the road was up to a sufficient standard. As yet the paths aren't finished there are no street lights and the road isn't topped.
Could anyone advise where we stand legally?
