I would like to have people that are either lawyers or police officers answer this question. If a 2 year old child is brought into a police station by someone other than their legal guardian and questioned as a witness, what is the law regarding this? I know it varies from state to state just in general?
I know in some cases the child can be questioned as a witness without a legal guardian present. However what about a minor child that doesn't understand their rights or is still learning the difference between right and wrong in the USA.
