What is the last region in the world to be colonized?

i find this research hard. i'm not really sure but base on my research, the islands in polynesia was the last region to be colonized, particularly colonized mostly by french. but i'm not yet sure. what's the last region to be colonized?

The last National Geographic news letter I had told of only 47 % of the globe being colonized. Surprising but, there's more area to be populated the one would have believed.
 
I would say Hawaii and Puerto Rico by the US in the 1890's, although they became US possessions with very different war strategies. Ironically, then President Clinton issued an "Apology Resolution" to Hawaii for abducting and overthrowing their Queen 100 years later, but no apology has been offered to Puerto Rico.

some lands build artificial islands, ya? so we still could extend to "seas" not just "lands"
 
Your question is a bit difficult to decipher. Your use of English is weak, especially the usage of past tense. There are many regions of the world yet to be "colonized". The term colonization means that a population exists; there are many areas of the world that are devoid of human population.

The answer to your question, as I believe the question asked, is Antarctica. There exists an agreement among nations that Antarctica will be held as an international study, experiment, and learning area. Many nations participate in this program.
 
Colinization Continues !!

As the population of the Earth rolls beyond EIGHT BILLION with countries such as Brazil determined to double their population every ten years and with modern medicine eliminating many causes of death those drawing a breath and needing a place to inhabit continue to colonize every last chunk of the planet. Antartica will most likely be next and could arguably be the 'last' virgin soil to be populated. As one answerer noted there were parts of Alaska and the Canadian Interior which were settled during the mid 20th Century while at the same time there were areas in Africa equally invaded by hordes seeking shelter.

Actually Polynesia is/was/is the cradle of Colonization!! The first areas to be Colonized as Neolithic Age people spilled from South Asia they crossed over to New Guinea and then in outrigger canoes spilled over all of Pacifica eventually reaching South and Central America.

It can also be argued if your thesis is Colonization by a Superior Power over a Native Population that TIBET is being Colonized as we 'speak' by the Chinese. Harking back a few decades the Italians during the 1930s 'colonized' Ethiopia. In recent decades America has Colonized Guam making it a clear candidate for Statehood. But the final answer is that Colonization is an on going process.
