Hi all I'm really hoping someone out there can help me. It started approx 2 weeks ago i pulled up in my jeep at a rail crossing and heard this thump noise, (as i was sitting beside a wrecking yard thought it was there) but then a day later it happened again followed by a small grinding noise this time as I was changing down in gears. now there is this really loud grinding noise when ever I degrease speed whether using brakes or gears and it happens whilst idling (including starting and turning off the car). If I sit at the lights in gear and slightly reving the car it doesnt seem to make noise but once I stop reving it happens. Hope someone and shed some light on this problem..
