What is the Greek-Macedonian debate? In layman's terms?

So my basic understanding of it is that in 1991 Yugoslavia was broken up, and one of its seven regions, the former Yugoslavic Republic of Macedonia (is that right?) has decided to make its international name "Macedonia".
My confusement lies in why this upsets Greece. I think it's because Greece feels that the now Macedonia claims to be descendants of Alexander the Great and descendants of ancient Greek.
Also, I don't understand the part about Greece thinking that the now--Macedonia (country north of them) chose that name so they can take over the Macedonia part of Greece?

P.S. I'm not taking sides, I just want to understand the issue more. Thanks =)
